Principle Investigator
I was born in Wuhan and obtained a B.S. in physics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Later I went to US and did my PhD with Prof. Cheng Chin at University of Chicago, where I finished a PhD thesis titled “Coherent dynamics and reactions in atomic and molecular Bose-Einstein condensates” which won the Outstanding Dissertation Award from International Organization of Chinese Physicists and Astronomers (OCPA). Then I joined Stanford University as a Bloch Postdoctoral Fellow, where I worked with Prof. Benjamin Lev and finished the construction of an experiment of magnetic quantum gas strongly coupled to a high-finesse multimode optical cavity. In 2025, I joined the Department of Physics at HKU.

Dr SONG Shiming
I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in ZZLab, having obtained my PhD from USTC in 2024. In my free time, I enjoy hiking.
Graduate Student
Mr WANG Junjie
He is a PhD student at ZZLab. He was born in Zhejiang Province, Mainland China, and completed his undergraduate studies at USTC. In 2025, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree and joined ZZLab. In his spare time, his main hobbies are surfing the Internet, hiking, and having casual chats with people.
Mr XIE Bokai
He is a first-year PhD student from China Mainland Zhejiang. He finished his bachelor degree in USTC under the guidance of Prof. Jinming Cui focusing on the Paul Trap. In his spare time, he enjoys coffee and translating Yuri Novels.
Mr ZHANG Zhuorui
I have been in ZZLab as a PhD student since Fall 2025, having received BS in Physics from Tsinghua University. I’m from Hubei, mainland China. I’m fond of video games, football and graphic design.
